The legend says that Viswakarma Puja or Viswakarma Jayanti is the birthday of Lord Vishwakarma the seventh dharma putra of creator Brahma. He is also known as the engineer of God or the first Engineer.

As we celebrated Engineer's Day a days earlier on the occasion of a birthday of Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya who is popularly known as the first and the greatest civil engineer in our country.
