The Agriculture of Odisha

In our area, farmers have been waiting for rain for a long time after sowing paddy in the fields. It usually rains during the Raj festival, but this year it has not. This raised the concerns of the farmers. But today their worries subsided because it rained in some areas at 11am. Overall, the issue has not been resolved, because the amount of rainfall is not enough to cultivate. 

Agriculture is a major source of livelihood in Odisha. So it would be right to call it the economy of Odisha. The people here depend on the natural climate for farming. Farming is usually done here in the traditional way. Nowadays, some new technologies are also being introduced in the field of agriculture, but that is not all. This is why such problems occur in agriculture almost every year. 

Apart from the rains, various natural disasters such as floods, storms and cyclones etc. are also hampering the agriculture of Odisha i.e. it is affecting the economy of Odisha. Therefore, the agricultural work in Odisha overcomes all these obstacles every year and finally provides crops to the farmers.
